The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Office of Inspector General announced plans to begin an audit of the agency's fiscal year 2026 compliance with the Payment Integrity Information Act of 2019. This annual review is mandated by Office of Management and Budget Circular A-123, Appendix C and the Payment Integrity Information Act of 2019. The notification, designated as Project #OA-FY27-0018, was issued on November 2, 2026. The audit aims to ensure the agency meets its statutory obligations regarding payment integrity.
