The National Institute of Standards and Technology has released a draft revision of Special Publication 800-100 for public review. The updated handbook, titled Information Security Handbook: A Guide for Executive Leadership, reorganizes guidance around the structure of Cybersecurity Framework 2.0. The public comment period began on October 12 and will close on December 4. The revision addresses changes in the cybersecurity landscape since the original 2006 publication, including new functions for governance and incident response.
