Brian Mazanec has been sworn in as the acting executive assistant director for infrastructure security at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. His prior role at the Department of Health and Human Services included serving as deputy assistant secretary and director of the Center for Preparedness. During his tenure at HHS, Mazanec helped lead the response to the Change Healthcare ransomware attack and infectious disease outbreaks. The agency also confirmed that Brian Bonacci is now the permanent executive assistant director for emergency communications.
